In support of numerous types of waterfront projects, RACE performs hydrographic surveys and sediment sampling. As RACE’s Hydrographic Survey services have steadily grown, the company’s investment in the 26’ aluminum Sea Raider improves our capabilities.

Hydrographic survey mapping and soil analyses are integral to, for example, designing and permitting marinas, dredging, mooring field planning, shoreline monitoring, beach nourishment and marine construction.

In addition to the Sea Raider vessel, RACE maintains multiple smaller survey vessels for use in shallow and/or tight spaces. Each vessel carries the latest in depth recording and positioning software, technology and sediment sampling equipment.

RACE performs sediment sampling for soil collection and coordinates geochemical testing with certified laboratories. Sampling analyses provide both parameters for dredged material management.

Our professional staff includes an ACSM Certified Hydrographer as well as USCG Licensed Captains to complement our professional engineers and assure professional and highly experienced on-water operations.
